We are honored to have been chosen the 2009-2010 High School Interns. It is our privilege to mentor and inspire Malibu’s youth. We are grateful for the opportunities afforded us and hope to use our personal experiences to make a greater impact in the community.
We all come from diverse backgrounds, but we share the common belief that we can influence the lives of members as ours were. It is our sense of unity that enables our club to be a second home for many. It is with great fervor that we look ahead to the future, trying to follow in the footsteps of those who made the club our family.
This year we hope to continue the tradition of offering great programs, while adding new, challenging, educational, and unique clubs in an effort to inspire the members. Clubs such as Man Up!, Smart Girls, Magic Club, Beyond the Box, and Smart Moves, all were successful last year in expanding the confidence and self awareness of the teens. We bring new energy and renewed commitment to further developing these programs.
We would like to thank the community and the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu for selecting us to be this year’s community leaders. It is an honor that we accept with great humility and pride.

We just wanted to say how much we love the Boys & Girls club. Julian has been a member for the last 6 years and loves every moment of it. The staff is unbelievable at helping everyone to have a wonderful time. The growth and maturity Julian has expressed since being a Junior Staff is amazing. The Club is an invaluable community resource for kids and parents alike, but as a single, working parent it is a lifesaver. Not only is my child safe and occupied between last period and pickup, but the staff and volunteers make it a fun, hip environment for all. The trips and "extras" provided are fabulous: community outreach and activism opportunities, tutoring, guest speakers, fashion shows, field trips-too many to list, and all are things I alone could never expose my son to. Thank you, thank you for being here and for going far and beyond being a place to kill time before being picked up!
